January 24, 2004:  Bay Colony has borrowed Cape Cod Central Railroad GP-7 No. 1501, and it's the power for today's trash train.  We're following the afternoon loaded trash train, destined for the SEMASS Waste-to-Energy incinerator at Rochester, MA.  We begin in Yarmouth Port and follow the train to Canal Jct. in Bourne.  From there, they run light engine to the Otis trash transfer station, pick up the loaded cars, and bring them to Canal Jct.  Once the Yarmouth and Otis sections are joined, they cross the bridge and enter Buzzards Bay.  The black hopper car is a load of flyash from the Canal Electric plant, picked up at Gallo Construction in Sagamore by the morning train.
